Subacute Trauma

Who Needs Subacute Trauma Care?

The Subacute Trauma Program at Advanced Diagnostics Healthcare System is unmatched. It was created for patients with traumatic or occupational injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, to diagnose and treat the injuries that linger after a patient has been treated and released by a trauma center. Following a traumatic event, patients in our Subacute Trauma Program can reach their Maximum Medical Improvement in minimal time.

What’s Unique About Advanced Diagnostics’ Subacute Trauma Care?

Led by a Physician Coordinator in conjunction with a case manager, the Subacute Trauma team assesses the patient’s injuries head to toe and develops a customized treatment plan. We also utilize leading edge diagnostic technologies on site for patient assessment — such as the powerful MRI with Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), which is far more sensitive than conventional imaging modalities.

Specialists on the team collaborate to determine the achievable results and then coordinate their services to deliver the right care at the right time, continually reassessing the patient’s progress at every step. All specialists work in concert and come to the patient at a single location, rather than making the patient navigate a complicated health system to see multiple providers in multiple locations.

The combination of coordinated, highly skilled specialists, an efficient treatment strategy and our convenient, patient-centric delivery of care allows our Subacute Trauma patients to achieve their best recovery outcomes, or Maximum Medical Improvement, sooner.
